The annual Martin Luther King, Jr. speech contest is coming up. For the speech, students should learn a 1-3 minute excerpt from any single speech given by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The speech can be presented in English or another language. There are three categories: Kindergarten-2nd Grade, 3rdx4th Grade, and 5th-6th Grade. The winners for each category at the district level will receive a cash prise.
1st Place - $100
2nd Place - $75
3rd Place - $50
Please be ready to perform your speech by November 5th. Let Mrs. Davis know if your student would like to participate and she will give them the permission form to be signed.
